    Well....
Good to meet everybody! looking forward to some conversations and gaining new knowledge and advice!

To start I've been a Toy freak for a while now....owned different years from 87 to 2004 pickups and runners. My latest is a fairly cherry 1988 from original owner from CA. It does have some miles (305k) BUT damn that dry air was good to this truck!!!!

I am a IT professional for 20+ years by trade and have been waiting for the right time with family, house,....bla bla...you know the story. So....

My 88 is currently in the shop for the following:
    • LS 6.0 (LY6) swap with upgraded cam for more low end torque. (I'll get the details soon on the cam)
    • New trans - 4L60e
    • Custom Atlas transfer case
    • Custom drive shafts, exhaust...etc...
    • OME suspension (no lift yet..not even sure I'm going to do one)
    • ....and other farkles....
    • It's going to be a continuous build....just getting started....
I'll see if I can post some pics of it in current trim... well I'll see if I can share my entire google album for your visual enjoyment.... ;) let me know if it works.... You will see tons of pics from when it arrived in Texas to new top and wheels and tires.

UPDATE: Donor motor arrived! Shop owner said that it's one of the cleanest LS's he's seen. They're going to tear it apart new Pistons rings bearings gaskets... They're getting ready to pull out the old motor!

    UPDATE:
There has been a delay in the project due to some stock transfer case issues. I opted to have Advanced Adapters custom build an Atlas TC for me...WOAH!! NOT CHEAP!! But I was advised to upgrade because of the horse power and torque numbers being put out by the LS vs stock V6. The stock TC may not handle it and I do not want to be out on the trail and have my TC fail. The Atlas will be bullet proof and I will have peace of mind! :D

Also just picked up a new set of Ironman Torsion bars. ARB are back ordered for months apparently.

The paint job and condition of your exterior is EXCELLENT! Curious about your soft top?? I'm familiar (i think!) with BesTop, Can-Back, and Soft Topper (Mine is ST and 10 years old!)
What brand is on your truck if i can ask? We will be following your posts!!

I created a google photo album and I am going to attempt to share it publicly. The link is below...please let me know if it works! These are pics from when it arrived in Texas from California up until it went to the shop for the transplant work. I know I included this link in the original post and no one complained/confirmed that it worked so not 100% sure if it worked...let me know!

Pic of my LS 6.0. Painted valve covers and block same paint code from 1988. No idea how the builder found it.
