I ordered 6x9's to go in the front doors of my 2021. I also ordered an amp but only plan on running the new speakers off the amp. Crutchfield says the amp will bust the existing factory speakers. This means I have run new speaker wire from speakers to amp. Am I able to leave factory harness for the front door speakers unplugged without any problems? Thanks.

I am using my existing speaker wiring to amp my new speakers, rewiring looked to be a real pain to me. Tacotunes is the only harness that I know of that can do that without cutting your wiring.

Trying to get it all hooked up this weekend.

I would think so, maybe seal/tape the ends up so they don't touch anything or each other, but more experienced people than I in this stuff might have other options.

What 6x9s and amp, did you go with?

I went with JL audio c1-690x 6x9's and an infinity Primus amp.

So you didn't have to splice into the factory speaker wires to power them with the amp?
