I need all you 4Runner pros advice. I am thinking of trading in my 2014 Sierra 1500 SLT stock for a 2016 SR5 4Runner lifted 3" with a Toytech kit and Toyo Tires. I drove it and liked it, but am not 100% sold. The main reason is going from a 8 cyl to a 6 and some loss of horsepower. Can you all give me some comfort and reasons to make this switch? All help will be greatly appreciated!!! Here is a pic.IMG_3554.jpgIMG_3547.jpg

that looks really good. I came from a silverado as well, 07 though. I also jumped in an older one (03) and love it. But mine has a v8 so i dont know how id feel going to a v6. Can you do a 24 hour test drive in your area?

I have a 2006 and hp never has been an issue to me and i drive a 400+ hp duramax daily as a work vehicle, I wouldn't be worried about it but it's your call, If you tow it may be a different story.

A few things here and there. Still dreaming up stuff
The power to weight is not that bad in them. I drove a 15 Limited and it seemed pretty good. Unless it's going to be pulling a heavy load all the time I would not worry about it. The comfort and the reliability will make up for not fixing stuff in a GM. Just my .02 in the matter for what every it is worth.

Here would be my top 3:
    Reliability
    Resale value
    Less electronics failing

I'm not saying Toyota is bulletproof, but in comparison to Chevy, they are. Less time in the shop, less recalls (seems anything around late 2k models seem to have constant recalls) and when (if) you decide to sell it, the resale value will be much higher.

I have a 2014 4Runner and had an 2010 Yukon. Slightly different yes but still had the 5.3 v8. One thing I can absolutely recommend is you get a sprint booster for your 4Runner. It will actually feel quick for a truck. I also added a URD Y pipe because I'm silly like that. This truck feels fast and is a blast to drive compared to the bus like feeling my Yukon had. Don't look back. A few minor mods and and you smile when you hit the gas.

kinda in the same respect, my 4runner is an 04, and my work truck is an 05 duramax thats loaded, leather, dvd, bose, and the 4runner feels totally different in terms of quality. i love the diesel, but can't beat toyota quality with a lot of their vehicles
