It's been previously repaired. You have to undo the bolt to make it go down. It's a great base. It has been painted with bed liner spray.
Tag light works! You will have to use your own trailer light plug

Oversized spares can get in the way off-road. And, above 33" they won't fit underneath. I relocated mine to the cargo area as it was collecting a lot of dirt and getting beat up under there.

Odd, my 285/70 fit fine, and my buddy has a 35 up there, and goes nuts. Keep it there for 99% of driving, then move it when you get frisky. Seems fine to me. And that "carrier" for sale, NO OFFENSE to the op, looks cheesy, and weak as fuck to me. Just my .02

Odd how my 285 Toyo just barely fits in there. I'd love to see pictures of this "35" under a 4runner.

I mentioned this in the other thread, but that would get old in a hurry.

Aside from these things, it just sucks to have your spare getting dirty and providing a place for mud to collect under the truck.

For someone who rarely gets dirty, under the truck is fine. For people who try to get dirty every other week, it makes sense to find a better spot for it.

I get dirty anywhere I go. There's not really any trails around here where you're going to come out with a clean truck. You have to go through the dirt to get to the rocks.

If I was in Utah, I would have other reasons for relocating it, like not wanting to puncture the sidewall on some rocks.

I usually don't block anyone, but I do hit a point fairly quickly where I just don't want to spend the energy on them. I deal with succubus-type people enough when I'm not on the intertubes. I don't need that here too!

I apologize for going off topic there. I was originally trying to answer what seemed like an honest question.

Normally, when I see someone say "No Offense" it means that someone is about to take offense. Praise in public, criticize in private. I could see where the carrier might be an inexpensive option for someone that wants to try it out. I want to see pix of the Runner too...

Wasn't that long ago a young man posted he was finally able to get the exact same tire carrier, and he was tickled pink about it. We never know a persons motivation and should always share in their joy. imo

Agreed! Aside from that, I believe it's against the COC to bash items listed for sale, as it should be.

I missed the latest verbal slap due to already eliminating input from said slapper in a previous thread...so, I'm blissfully unaware, and happy that way.

@Kyblack76 when you go on someone else's for sale post which is posted in the proper thread and has good pictures of said item, and talk bad about it, it's in extremely poor taste and really just down right rude. This lady is not a vendor and does not deserve this type of treatment. So... now you know, NO OFFENSE, and your welcome.

Everyone can see Alex's Voodoo Blue 4th Gen as well as a lot of other cool rigs in a thread I started last year. 4th Gen lifted Page post #23.
