    Soooo....
    91 3VZE and pulling heads for gasket replacement (who woulda thought???). Left bank so far and the cam has VERY noticeable ridges on the bearing surfaces (lobes seem pretty darn good). Dunno how many "real" miles, call it 200k.

    How much life can be expected if the cam is reused without polishing out the wear ridges and having the journals reamed (or replacing the cam)?

    Son's $600 beast. Do not want to spend a fortune on it. He needs a beater for his job.
