I was there, and heard a lot of this conversation. What Jeff is saying is the truth as I know it.
He and his wife are straight up good folks and run an honest and accommodating business. Trust me on this.

    Feel free to ask
Jeff Westcott seems like a good guy.

Shameful for those customers to take advantage of them like they did. Glad Jeff was able to get his side of the story out.

It's 350 miles one way to his shop and worth every mile of it. Any future mods I farm out will be done by Westcott and Westcott only. You get what you pay for without question.

While I don’t agree with the customers here one bit that’s super shitty on their part. However I don’t think he should have said their full names or throw out that what he believed their intentions were (even though most of us will agree with him they pre planned that) in the video or even really release the video until something happened. In today’s society everyone is so sue happy and wanting something for nothing that this could backfire on Jeff and I’d really hate that because he does seem genuine with some of the social media presence he has.

This is appalling. Westcott seems like a sincere guy and the type of person I'd trust with my vehicle and expensive projects of this kind. But to preemptively call out and bash a customer -- by name! -- and show his easily distinguishable vehicle on a video -- with his name! -- is incredibly poor judgment.

I'm sure Westcott is sincerely hurt by this customer's behavior and it seems he has good reason to be. And so I guess that pushed him over the edge. But for a business owner to go publicly bashing customers by name, essentially trying to embarrass and blacklist them so that others won't want to do business with them -- that's way beyond the pale.

I suspect that Westcott will ultimately realize he crossed a line here and regret this. And it's all a shame for him and his business because, again, you get the sense that he really does care and really does do good work.

The more I see about Westcott, the less I like. He needs to take that fact to heart. These people practically seem sketchy to me at this point. He needs to grow up and run a business well, and stop worrying about children on "social media," whatever the eff that even is these days. Society is struggling with the overrun of "media" and misinformation, so I can understand his dilemma, but he simply needs to trust his customer base if he indeed wants to run his own business, and rise above this BS. Childish, if you ask me. And him publishing this video without fully thinking it through, as evidenced by his later decision to remove the video, is in line with that.

I'm not here to defend anyone and you're entitled to your opinion. However, the facts and your opinion do not align, and only one of the two of us, know the facts, and it is not you.

The only fact I am referencing is the fact that he published this silly video. Am I incorrect there? Apologies if I was confused...

As a small business owner, if somebody says something bad about you, don’t go on the Internet and shit all over them.

    You’re not gonna win.

I went on FB to see if there was any reason he was actually posting this but nothing was found and he was jumped the gun severely and somewhat made himself look childish by doing so.
