    Hello,
I finally received my Lunar Rock after getting my name on the list on Jan 2, 2021, and I even paid MSRP at Dolan Toyota in Reno, NV.
It's truly a dream come true as I had missed out on Voo Doo Blue & Army Green. I was getting ready to settle for a ORP, Venture or Trail, and just wait out on the 2022 color.
I can't say enough about how much I love this vehicle, and love the compliments from my friends, family, & coworkers. I love that I am enthusiastic about driving again, as I came form a Honda HRV, and can't help to stop and look back at my 4Runner every time I park and walk away.

I'm in the Reno/Sparks area so looking forward to meeting any other trailblazers in the area.

    Sweet ride and congrats!!!
I hope I see your rig out there some day. I commute on 80 everyday, all the way to the GIGA.
Here’s my PRO I purchased Friday the 9th.

Oh and one more thing. There is a recent thread on here where they are criticizing the clear bra protection. They are free to judge that’s ok. But as you should know that up here on the freeways they are full of small debris from the quarries and whatever mining it still going on. I had a clear bra for my ORP and I ordered another for the new PRO. To me it is well well worth it up here. So I am just suggesting it to you. Your baby doesn’t deserve the pitting it will absolutely receive up here, your windshield too. I got the windshield protection too.

Congrats on you're new truck! As for anyone criticizing PPF, I have had it on my last 3 vehicles and it absolutely never peels and certainly never yellows. It all depends on the quality of the installer. As soon as I get mine, the bumper is getting XPEL for all the same reasons you just described! Congrats again!

Thank you guys, and definitely worth the wait! I was starting to lose hope.

And yes, I actually had PFF on my prev vehicle (HONDA HRV) and loved it. Did you guys do a partial or full front PFF?
And yes man, I'm actually looking to do the Jumbo grade trail sometime this summer!

Yes, I'm hoping that will be a good beginner trail. What a coincidence, my brother has a Gladiator Mojave haha
Ok, yeah I think I'll opt for a full front as well. They are quoting me around $1299 here in Reno. $699 for partial.

All those Jeep’s are guys at work. That gladiator was brand new, he did quite well. The trail had its spots for sure.
That seems like a lot for full bra. I ordered from dealer and I don’t remember it being near that much.

Yeah my brother's Gladiator makes things look too easy. Where are you getting your clear bra installed? I may have to contact them instead.

Carson City Toyota. They have a regular guy come in everyday. He did my ORP too. Ask them about the windshield protection too.

So I was able to get full front clear bra @ Dolan for $950 + tax, good call on going to the dealership.

Of good for you. Yes that is about the cost for clear bra. LoL I still only have like 65 miles on mine so far. I’m afraid to drive it until I get that protection . I mean I just don’t want to bring on the freeway yet.

Smart move, I actually was going up Pyramid highway, and sure enough a rock hit my driver side mirror, so there is a tiny paint chip on that, not even on the freeway. Luckily its not too noticeable, but still a heartbreaker after only owning for 2 weeks.

Congrats on the new ride. When you guys say PFF are you referring to Xpel? Does the bra effectively cover the bottom bumper, grill, headlghts? I have never had this done before. I do not intend to high jack thread so if you want to PM me that is fine. Appreciate any advice

Xpel in my case, from the guy my dealer has do all of them. I’m not certain but I’m pretty sure the pieces are pre cut per piece, per whatever vehicle, a kit in other words. Your headlights get done, bumper, about a foot or so up the hood, virtually all forward fronting surfaces. Door mirrors, lower rocker rails under doors. This time I’ve requested that he also complete a piece of xpel that will span the area directly above the windshield seal, go about 4” back from there. My last runner didn’t have that and now I know why I want that!! I would do that if I were you, trust me.

Great thank you for the tips Run4it--I am going to do some research on this. So if you keep a vehicle 15 years will this stuff turn yellow or cause any issues with paint?
Perhaps this sounds crazy but I am hoping to keep this 15-20 years since it will not be an everyday vehicle and just use for recreation.

Expel is a great product. They've come a long ways from when the film used to turn yellow. In your case, since you are garaging it and it isn't going to see any harsh winter elements, you should get all of 10 years out of the film. It doesn't last forever. But the idea is when you take the film off, your paint is in its original condition like the day you wrapped it. The most important thing is finding an installer who knows how to do the entire job from paint correction to installation properly. And if you want it to be super shiny and hydrophobic, you can ceramic over that!

I guess the whole point for me is resale value when I’m also ready. I don’t believe you will see the problems you mention.
