I’m looking at a 2007 limited v6 with 84,000 miles, two owners, garage kept, clean.

I’ve been searching for a 4Runner for a few months now and want to make sure it’s worth it. I love 4Runners and wish I could afford a newer generation, but living within my means.

Asking the group their thoughts because I know limited 4Runners in that generation were v8’s and this is the first one I found with a v6.

Possible problems with timing belts, leaks, transmission, ball joints, etc...

    Seller is asking $18,000.00

    Any help is much appreciated.

The v6 has a timing chain. Make sure all maintenance has been done including regular oil changes. Assuming it is 4WD that is a high price for that. I would definitely have it checked by a mechanic with special attention to the frame for rust.

Here's a bit of a pricing guide but it's all subjective.

Thanks. Yeah, $18,000 is a high price for what it is. I offered $13,000, but they claimed they paid $800 to ship it from Kentucky, fix it up and detail it. Almost worth dishing out a little more money for a newer generation.

Thanks for the advice. I’ve been thinking all week and going to pass on this one and look for a newer generation 4Runner. Too much money for what it is

Check for rust on Frame? Get maintenance carfax,

Price of $13,000 if she's perfect.

2007 is 13 years old already. If the car is from up north, the frame could be rusted away and you are getting screwed!

My 2005 with 170,000 miles has zero rust on the frame or body and starts and runs like a new car. Car is in Nassau Bahamas. Original owner
