It’s funny because I personally think it gets a bad wrap. I’m sure there are people who’ve had terrible experiences but it seems like a lot of that is from not doing maintenance. It’s a typical German car. Things break and you repair them. If you know your way around a wrench most repairs are doable. Not having an auto with the torque converter saves on a huge repair issue too. It’s an 03 so it’s just before everything got crazy electronic. I also had an extended warranty that saved me a few times. But fingers crossed it’s been rock solid for years. I’m fanatical about maintenance and I’ve only averaged around 4k per year. It’s at 122,000 now. I will admit I’m looking forward to a higher degree of stability with a Toyota. I did the German high performance, complex engineering thing for the last 14 years and now want boring reliability day in and day out.

What part of Ohio? I'm in Northeast Ohio and my sales guy didn't give me any kind of a timeline. He just kept telling me that Covid and the recent Canal issues have everything screwed up right now, so it's hard to tell when things will happen. I put a deposit down for my pro on 3/17, got it for $1500 under mrsp. From the research I've done, it's extremely hard to get Pros below msrp, so I would jump on it if you're wanting it.

Semi-related question... I'm in Southern California and the dealers are all marking Pros up $6-10K... I found a dealer in Colorado that will sell at MSRP. I want a Lunar Rock Pro. I'm ready to order it and then fly to get it.
Seems there really aren't many options - I'm thinking running boards, blacked out emblems, rubber mats, and the front USB ports. Am I missing any must haves?

Check out places in Nevada. Picked mine up for MSRP in Elko. DMV is a pain and itll take a year to get registered but worth it still.

Id recommend getting as few options as possible as all the aftermarket stuff is cheaper and in cases like rock sliders better quality. Then you arent paying on the loan for overpriced badges etc.
