Title says it. Installing non oem cross bars. Curious about where on the rails to install them.

I'm pretty sure they are marked where to install.

I didn't do mine the dealer did but everytime I was I think I saw markings.

    *Edit
Maybe its just a sticker so if yours came off.

Non OEM don't really have a spot. OEM only have a spot for wind noise, and that specific spot really doesn't make them louder or more quiet, IMO.

I generally space them according to what I'm carrying, with an eye towards spacing them as far apart as possible for stability. I just set up a pair for my wife's truck this morning so she could haul 2 kayaks, and I set them as far forward (front one) and as far back (rear one) on the factory rails as possible.

Moon Landing and PVT Pablo like this.

Thanks, guys. I had just got them delivered and was trying to do work before going out there.

Once I climbed up top, i found the stickers.

The advice for the kayaks is PERFECT. I literally bought them so i could carry 2 kayaks. I'll re-space them far forward/back.

Are you just strapping them to rails? or are you going with some sort of carrier?

    Appreciate it!

No, strapping them to rails. You can do 2 kayaks on the stock rails but wider rails work much better. I can't really explain how I strap them, it's kind of a visual thing. 2 straps per 'yak.

You can maybe zoom in to see on these images... the extra strap is just thrown through the back door.

Yep, space them as far apart as possible for best stability for your boats.
