I searched the forums and most have reported Sulfur smell with the rear window open due to exhaust gases being pulled into the cabin. However I'm pretty sure I've smelled Sulfur even with all windows closed. Dealer couldn't reproduce the issue. I bought it certified with 4500 miles and put on around 3000 since then. If this was a CAT issue would the engine light come on? Any other ideas?

Uh not to be an ass hole but I smell exhaust sometimes with my rear window down. I mean it kinda comes with the windows being down.

Do you smell it with the windows up?

Mentioned in my post that I smell it even with windows closed.

    Bone stock!
Under hard acceleration the catalytic converter can produce a sulpher-like smell. That's normal. You'll smell that with the windows up or down because it's a strong smell.

I'd recommend cracking another window a bit if your running with the rear window down. With only the rear window down you'll suck in life-depleting exhaust fumes. I usually tilt the sunroof when using the back window.

    It's normal.

I wouldn't call it "sulfur" though, to me it's always been just kind of a sharp smell that defies description. It's worse when the engine is cold. I really only notice it when the back window is down and I romp on the gas, so maybe you have a better developed sense of smell or something!

I agree with what others have mentioned... it's normal. Mine has had this odor since new and still has it 40,000 miles later.
