Looking for recommendations for a upgraded tire and painted aluminum wheel for wife’s 2018 4Runner SR5. Stock size is 265/70R17. She doesn’t love all black wheels that look like a spare tire, prefer a gun metal color. I’m clueless on tire selection, must be all season, good in mud and snow. Not opposed to slightly wider than stock tire but don’t want to have to body chop or lift it to make fit. I like the Goodyear Duratrac on my truck but not sure if they are right for 4Runner. Pictures and details appreciated, thanks!

Check out Discounttire.com for wheel options. It even has a simulator to show how the wheels will look on your vehicle. SCS wheels are very popular also and always worth a look. I have Black Rhino which are considered budget wheels, and I'm happy with them.

"All season" and "good in mud" don't really mix. There are some all terrains that are OK in mud.

Something like a Wildpeak AT3W is a good compromise of road manners and decent off-road traction.

I had Yokohama Geolander AT's that were amazing in snow with great road manners, but probably just OK in mud.

The new Toyo AT3 is a popular tire right now as well.

There are threads here and on Tacomaworld dedicated to most of the popular options. Check out the wheels and tires sub-forum for these threads.

I went with method 305 nv titanium 17 inch, zero offset. I am getting wildpeak 265/7017 put on today. From what I was reading wildpeaks were good for what I was wanting to do. Trips to Tahoe, camping, occasional trails. I’ll post a pic with the tires later today when I get my car back. Here’s a pic of my wheels.

Black is the "new chrome". LOL! I like my "spare tire", black, "donk" lookin' wheels with tires that are slightly too wide for the width of Limited wheels (dealer installed when new) on my '19.

That said, I went with SCS Stealth 6's in gun metal on my '13 Limited. I believe they were 17x8.5 with, about 4.5" back spacing (not sure what that works out in offset). Tires were 265-70 BFG KO's.

As a side note, the running boards were removed and much of the chrome Plasti Dipped black on the '13.
