I am looking at getting a 4Runner with 147k miles on it. it has had all of the services done on it but has not had anything major replaced on it including the transmission. What is the life on a 2010 4Runner transmission and is there anything else they could go wrong with the car that I should know about?

A lot more than 147k if maintained.

And sound like the previous owner kept up.

the toyota runners do last a long time. now the transmission fluid changes are at 100-120K miles. I have seen owners that had transmission shifting issues and then around 150-170K miles they changed the filter and flushed out the old fluid and it works like new.
the power steering fluid has to be changed with prestone asian syn fluid...and transfer case toyota fluid is the correct fluid and it has to be changed around 40K miles...
check the rubber boots on the axles and check the steering arm boots .. I spray silicone on those rubber components looks like new.. check for grease leaking ..
greasing the drive shafts every year..
on a 11 yr old runner check the vent valve on the rear diff gear box .. probably replace it ..inspect for frame rust .

I’ve never seen anybody mention issues with their transmission. A lot of 300k and up 5th gens out there without issues
