    Howdy everyone!

First post here, but I cant find what I'm looking for anywhere. I have done loads of back window troubleshooting and fixes already and my '86 has had a working rear window until recently.

The rear window will roll up just about all the way and then stops 1/2 inch short when using the switch. It then will not roll up or down. I removed the back panel and used direct power to the motor to get it to roll up to completion and direct power will let it go back down again as well. Once the original circuit is reconnected it works fine unless I roll it up to almost the top again. Im stumped, its very strange to me. I also tried bypassing the door latch switch and that doesn't change anything. I really hate to take the back panel off from inside to jump this motor, its getting annoying. Anything helps.

    Cheers

Maybe its the back door limit switch. The switch is grounded when the window is rolled all the way up. I wonder if it is getting grounded too soon. It is a switch that is attached to the regulator.

Make sure the rear wiper is fully seated up. I want to say that has a sensor on it as well for the window.
