Deceleration resistance/humm

Hey everyone, recently I have been experiencing a deceleration resistance and low hum at highway speeds. When coasting/decelerating going between 50-75mph I can feel a slight vibration in the steering wheel and it feels almost as if the transmission is being resisted or is between gears? Rather hard to explain...

For background, I have a 2019 T4R ORP and bought it used with about 7k miles on it, now has roughly 12k miles. I had 4Wheel Parts install a stage 1 icon lift, with about 1.5” of lift in the front adjustable coil overs just to sit level with the back. The driver side is slightly more preloaded than the passenger to adjust for driver side lean. I still run stock wheels/tires. I’ve put about 5k miles on the new suspension with no issues and great ride quality. I started noticing this deceleration resistance after the big snow storm hit Denver,CO last week which required me to switch back and forth between 2H and 4H a good amount and run thru some decently deep snow to get out of my alleyway (about 1.5ft). I’m wondering if maybe something is now ajar because of that which could be causing the resistance when decelerating/coasting? Has anyone experienced this issue?

 

Sorry you are having issues. Check out "needle bearing issues". A common test will be if it goes away in 4wd. Your Speed is higher than normal for this concern but it is a super common problem. A differential issue certainly be brought out by hard work as you describe from our recent storm but hopefully your issue is a minor one. Best of luck

 

Yep, did some digging and found some old threads about the issue. All things point to the needle bearing. I’m taking it in to the dealership this week, everything should still be under warranty unless they decide to be jerks because I replaced the suspension. I’ll point out that I think it’s the needle bearing. I’ll repost here and on the other threads I’ve been following with an update. Thanks for your info!
