I recently got a 92 and I noticed that my shocks were a little soft. I was already planning on replacing them so I started looking online, but most of the information is for lifted builds and rock crawlers. I am not going to be doing any serious offroading, as it's my daily driver, but I will be doing some trail rides, and camping trips. Looking for something that won't negatively affect the ride quality on-road and is capable enough for mild offroad. I don't plan on adding too much weight except a metal front bumper and lights some time in the future, so that shouldn't be a problem. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Welcome to the forum, take a look at the Bilstein 4600 shocks.

I'm going to either install the Bilstein 4600 or the Rancho RS7000MT, they're very comparable shocks, and both seem to do what I'm looking for pretty well. I leaning towards the Bilsteins, they cost a little more but have a lifetime warranty and seem to be the internet favorite. I was warned by the previous owner, who builds out overland Landcruisers for a living, that the torsion bar suspension doesn't handle lifts too well and wears out quickly if you do. Just a fair warning though this is my first car and I'm not by any means an expert, just going off the words of family and the internet, so I'd do your own research before doing anything to the suspension. Since I am hoping to drive this almost every day for the next 5-6 years I'm not doing anything too crazy, or anything that will affect the life of the suspension negatively.
