They are definitely coming out with a Bronco Raptor. I think it would be cool if it had solid axels and took on the Rubicon. But I expect it will get a big engine and some fox shocks and a slight lift with some skid plates or something.

    @Moon Landing
Good read but all this talk & I have yet to even see a new Bronco. I really like the look in pictures but have to see one in person.

The article I linked stated they were going for a "dune runner" style setup. Similar to the concept of the original V8 Raptor.
They need to release a base & work up instead of just "concept" 2030 builds!

I've seen a few Bronco Sports (the crossover renegade competitor), but not the actual Bronco. They are hard to get I assume, and Covid did no favors for production I bet.

And you can probably expect a price tag north of 70k.

I’ve seen several videos and pictures of stock Broncos doing fast baja runs and hitting decent jumps. No specs but should be exciting!

Hopefully the actual Bronco "Raptor" won't be as ugly as that picture. Although, I don't actually care.

Ford should probably be more concerned about getting a few orders filled and getting some of the regular Broncos on the road before they start talking about what's next.

Hahahaha they are hideous. A guy at work pre ordered one. He's deployed right now so I haven't got to see it yet. They kinda look like a defender but not badass.

It's disappointing, really. Between the headlights and the cheap looking fender flares, it just doesn't do anything for me. They could have made it look much better.

You're right. The bronco is such an iconic vehicle and they really didn't do a very good job. One of my good friends passed away a few years ago and had a first gen. I tried to buy it, but the guy in charge of his estate wouldn't sell it to me because he didn't wanna see it around town ( which I understand.) Since then I've been on the search one.

I do like a few things they did with it. The final production model might look good.

I like how the interior shot is just a grainy computer simulated image that looks like something from an old video game.

Sorry to hear about your friend.

I own Ford stock, so I hope they sell a bunch of them. However, I like my 4R better. More room and likely more reliable.

I think they did a good job on some trims of the bronco in styling. And when compared to the Chevy 'blazer' and Range Rover Defender (its a Range Rover at that price), the Ford looks 20x better. From what I have seen in the photos, I think its the best example of a company honoring an old design (in the 4x4 market) since the FJ Cruiser over 15 ago.

LR kept promising a boxy design that would be capable. The new Defender is capable but it manages to be boxy while having no corners which bothers me a lot more than I though. I parked my third gen next to the new defender, and it drove home the point that while the defender looks (and is)upright, the front face doesn't end it just continues onto the side of the vehicle in the most unsatisfying way. From the photos, Ford seems to have avoided this styling error.

I don't think the Ford design will be a match made in heaven for many, but car designs sometimes grow on you. I don't think saying that about the Defender is true because it is flawed in so many other ways (seriously no tow hooks except on the more expensive trim wtf?!).

Also that Raptor render is ugly, I doubt it will look like that. Lots of believable renders were created about the Bronco, few if any were close.
