I hesitate with build threads, because I'm not really building anything, and I tend to swap vehicles almost as frequently as underwear. I'm not sure if that speaks ill of my hygiene habits or not. Anyway, I picked up my '19 SR5P in Dec 2018. It's my 4th new Toyota, '02 Tundra, '12 Tundra, '15 Tacoma were my others. I also currently have an '07 Tundra in the driveway, although it's the in-law's vehicle. At various points, I've debated replacing the 4Runner with an FJ or GX, and have just decided to keep this sucker.

So far, the only mild things I've done with the 4Runner is a suspension swap. I installed Bilstein 6112/5160 with Wheelers T13 1.5" rear springs. I had the fronts preassembled by Wheelers at a 2" setting. That made the install super easy. My son (9, at the time) helped with the install. Overall, it took around 5 hours or so, but that included lunch, and of course, helping my helper. I also added the TRD SEMA grey wheels, with 275/70/17 K02s.

So far, that's it. I have Husky liners, Desert Does It seat jackers, chip/bug guard, OEM LED fogs, some GE Ultralight headlight bulbs, vinyl wrapped the silver roof rack rails, Salex console organizer/tray and most importantly, a Toyota hitch plug/cover. My only future plans are to add a little more protection, and to get more familiar with recovery gear/etc. Right now, I tend to travel solo, as far as vehicle count (usually with my wife and son with me), and we don't off-road for any type of challenge, just to get out and enjoy the Colorado back country.

I also have a '68 Mustang that's a work in progress, I towed it home with the 4Runner! Prior to this, I had a '67 Cougar.

This past weekend was the first time I drove any distance and had an opportunity to determine if the Seat Jackers were worth it in any way. For me, yes. I was quite skeptical that they would be beneficial, but I can tell the difference in support for both my lower back (I wasn't expecting that) and thighs. I've always said that for me, I found the 4Runner about 90% comfortable, and could live with the 10% given the other positives of the vehicle, but this makes it maybe 95% now. The other 5% would be if the wheel could telescope JUST a bit further. I'd complain about headroom, but I'm the dumbass that got a sunroof. I still have headroom, but I'd have more if I would've skipped it!
