First off... thanks for any expertise you can provide. As you can see, i'm a total newb. I have a 2013 Coachmen Clipper 16FB - 2500 lbs dry and 18.5 ft total length. TV is a 2014 SR5. I've installed the tekonsha prodigy brake controller and a Hensley cub weight distribution hitch. Think i'm safe?

That's one heck of a hitch he has configured. Recently ran across it and if it works as designed it could prove to be very helpful to those with little to no towing experience.

Welcome aboard, go slow, stay safe, and have fun out there.:hattip:

It is a very interesting hitch, indeed! I bought it for that exact reason... never towed anything in my life and will have a 6 year old on board. We're planning to take it easy and leave plenty of time to get where we're going. Thanks for your input! Makes me breathe a little easier.

You seem to have the right equipment. As long as you take your time, keep the speed down, you should be fine. Happy trails!
