    Hello All,
I just joined this afternoon with a couple specific questions in mind about hauling a trailer behind a 4 Runner. But first, I just wanted to say hello. I am a retired guy who bought a used 2016 Limited 4 Runner, a year ago. Up until that time, I had always driven pick ups, but I always loved the looks of the 4 Runners, and had heard of their great reputation. So here I am. I have a 59 acre remote lot on a mountain side, that I spend as much time as I can at, spring thru fall. The 4 Runner is great on what is a pretty lousy access road.
So nothing special here, just a run of the mill retired guy. I enjoy what hunting I can still do, as well as fishing. In the summertime I enjoy my gardening.
My wife and I have recently been blessed with the birth of a grand daughter, and are doing our best to spoil the heck out of her. So that's pretty much it, about me.

So if someone could tell me if this is the right place to ask questions on hauling a trailer with the 4 Runner, I would appreciate it. If it's not the right location, if someone could steer me in the right direction, again, I would really appreciate the help.

    Thanks,
    Tom

Hi Tom, welcome from N Austin!

Most people will agree that the 4Runner isn’t the best vehicle to tow with especially over mountainous terrain.

Best bet would be google unless someone chimes in! Congratulations on the extended family and hopefully you find what you’re looking for!

Welcome from Wisconsin! Tom, if you look on the left side of the home page of the forum, look down a ways and you'll see a "towing" section, that would be the place! You can always do a "search" in the upper right hand corner too. Enjoy the forum!
