Well it’s been 25 years and 317,000 miles. And I finally got an error code. Well I’ve gotten before for O2’s. But this was different, started it and it’s running rough. Ran the snot out of it and it went away but came back. Going to read the plug and replace it. See how she does....D7813AB5-484C-4EE6-AA82-5ABEDCBC7E16.jpg

No, just swapped plugs and coils/wires 10,000 miles ago. With factory stuff.
I just picked up a plug.:)

You know when you plug the coil into #3 plug it’s not a very tight connection.

    My diagnosis:
    Plug was fine, dry.
New plug has a “P” in front of the number but whatever.
Unplugged injector and reconnected.( first time that’s been done in 25 years.
I did spray fluid film on the TB linkage and may have hit the connector too.

These plugs are Toyota Densos but where from the Philippines.
Something good that came out of this: one of my intake bellow’s clamps was loose from when I did plugs 10,000 miles ago......

And someone stole my 1936 train engine in shipping, it’s the only one I have ever seen with brass wheels and flag poles, and copper/brass trim

Granny always said, "when it rains, it pours", and trouble comes in 3s. So maybe ur done for a while, lol.
Same thing, ruff running, not stolen train, happened to me, P0304 code, maintenance history from second owner of '00 4runner for 19 yrs, at 240k miles, sketchier than I'd like, so replacing all 6 plugs and injectors and boots and wires, cause gotta tear FI apart anyway, see no reason to have to do it twice.

Well they want $1100 for six OEM injectors from EBay. Got them from the dealer for $1500. This has to get my boat to fresh/salt water and haul dead animals.
So got the dealer on it gonna take four days to get the parts. I’m having nightmares at night about all the gremlins that will attack it.
But got to spend the day outdoors and they’re stocking trout tomorrow...
    God Bless America!!!!!

I met an Iraq/Afghanistan Veteran today. He seemed pretty interested in fishing. So if all goes well, we can fish the river this summer....

Shop around. I know there's better pricing than that.

Well hopefully the tags will be dead at noon tomorrow. Because I will have a set of black antiques in my hands.
I told them to clean up the TB and use OEM grommets. God only knows what this Bill is gonna be...
Prob as much as it’s worth but we have bonded for so long.....And my boat (well one of them) was built/rigged in Florida the same year....

New Genuine Toyota injectors are just that expensive.

There's really not too much shopping around you can do.

I saw later that he already bought them so... I usually get my parts out of the corp warehouse in Dallas, but their website is down for weeks now.

I haven’t bought them yet. The dealer was getting them but it’s been a week and still no injectors. SO if they don’t have them tomorrow I’m picking up my rig and going to NTB. I could of had OEM injectors for 2/3 of the price in three days from EBay. Hopefully someone with a little common sense will work on it. I know the last two times the dealer changed oil on my Corolla they put 6 quarts of oil in it instead of 4.3...lol

It’s been eight days and still no injectors. Luckily I’m not working.(I cut grass up North during the summer to get the hell outa here). If I actually needed the vehicle I would be screwed. Should I have bought them online and had them in my hands last week? Probably..... Should I have installed myself and saved the money? Probably, then I could be at the trout stream..... Will this repair cause more problems? Yes, I’m going to go over it when I pick it up, but I’m sure there will be a domino effect from sitting for two weeks..... Should I buy a new one? I probably could have one built and imported by now.....

Christ I am getting ripped off from the dealer and taken for a long painful ride. I’m just gonna get these and pop them in myself..save about 2k.. I figured the dealer would have this thing tightened up in no time. NOT2A0BB3DF-341A-4177-AAA7-262609A0F9AE.jpg
