Hey everyone, new to the 4Runner community and just got a 2020 SR5.. already installed the Pro grille, and hoping to just get the stock TRD wheels in black or bronze with the Nitto Terra Grapplers that come standard.

I believe they are 265/70 ? Am I going to need any sort of lift like the TRD Pros have to run these without rubbing?

    Thanks for the help.

    Nope

    Swap them over.

TPMS and lug nuts are direct swaps

Edit, if you are using wheels, tires and TPMS all in one package.... take off the Pro and put on the SR5, then yes you will need to reprogram TPMS.

Did you use the stock tires from the SR5 ? Could you post a picture of how it looks whenever you get a chance?

Yes reused the stock tires since they are brand new and once they wear down I plan on getting something a bit more aggressive :

Hi All, brand new member and proud owner of a SR5 Premium. I'm getting the TRD Pro wheels but I don't know about tires. I'm looking at Consumer Reports and the Nitto's don't do well on wet braking. I live in Seattle .... They recommend three which have good breaking results as well as good performance in other areas. I'm a noob and don't really know if Consumer Reports even a good place to be looking for useful info about off road tires?

    VredesteinPinza AT

    GoodyearWrangler TrailRunner AT

    ContinentalTerrainContact A/T

Anyone have opinions on any of these or care to recommend something else? I'm not concerned about the price difference.

I'm going to use it as a back-country camping vehicle and drive mainly on fire and dirt roads. No real heavy offroading. My wife would not enjoy that at all :). I don't have a commute so well over half the miles will be easy dirt roads or getting to them.

I have had the Pirelli Scorpions for about three months or so, most of that being winter. Prior to the snow, I didn't experience any issues regarding wet braking performance. I am not saying this is what you do, but I also don't drive it like a two-door sport coupe, wait for the last second to brake or keep an unsafe distance between me and the next vehicle. I know there are unforeseeable situations to account for, but even then, I've never once felt any sort of poor performance w/ the exception of some winter elements. I don't really count the winter situations because without a true snow tire, that's going to happen.
