Hood Scoops

I'm a newbie, so please pardon a question everyone else probably has the answer for, but in looking at pictures of the 4th Gen 4Runners, I see that some of them had a hood scoop. Was this an accessory option, or maybe a standard feature only on 4Runners with the "new" 4.7L, V8? Thanks, Ron.

It's a version of 4 runner called "Sport Edition" It comes with it. I've seen some hoods you can buy that would come with it.

Yep sport edition has the scoop. Although I wouldn't pass a clean sport edition up, there are enough people wanting the hood scoop that you could easily have a taker on swapping hoods within the week lol. Heck, some people will even do cash+trade for a sport hood, they like it that much. Just would want someone with the same paint color
