Since i got my 95 4Runner, every now and then during acceleration, the truck seems to sputter (doesn't buck) but shakes ever so slightly
You can hear its best from the exhaust the best.

Any pointers on how i can begin diagnosing?

    Fuel?
    Misfire?

An old adage is that 95% of fuel issues are actually electric. Having said that, replacing the filter is a simple step and cheap.

Arcing in the dizzy cap, cross fire between wires, tired sensors in the dizzy, all can and do provide the symptoms you describe.

Once all the electric is 100% proper, then think fuel.

    Could also be sticky valve.
