I have a cool story about “George” and “Martha”, two Eagles that nested close to the Woodrow Wilson bridge project.
Environmentalist raised hell over this nest being close to construction. Pounding concrete beams to bedrock. Then they actually moved their nest closer to construction.....They are social birds......Then another female Eagle attacked “Martha”, very territorial birds too...

We have a pair of nesting eagles in our woods, very interesting to watch. Memory tells me they have have been there almost 10 yrs. they built one hell of a big nest. The amount of bones below the nest is amazing. All kinds of critters have helped raise a bunch of young eagles.
