    A lot of guys recommend at least getting double the weight of your vehicle, just to be safe. There’s a lot of variables that can make your recovery a lot more difficult, such as if you’ll be dead weight (sunk in sand/mud), or if you’re just slipping and not catching traction and what not. Also if you start to add armor/ bigger tires, you’ll just be adding more and more weight. The 10k should be fine though. Just my thoughts, not an expert.

    10k will work great; though I highly recommend keeping a snatch block in the recovery bag if needed as well - will double the pulling power (though half the speed), and also useful if you ever need to get creative with a pull.
