Since you have a ‘20, follow everything that Daytonaviolet posted and when it gets to the wiring look at my post and pics for the unlock and will be good to go!

Have a set of these CTH powering folding mirrors in hand, unopened. Will sell for $175 shipped. Send me a PM if interested. I’m new here but can provide dated photos and/or references. Bought in anticipation of a 4Runner purchase but ended up going with another vehicle.

WOW! Hey guys, I received the Mirrors today! That was quick! Only a week! I've only opened the package and verified the parts. After reviewing the installation instructions included as well as the awesome documentation provided by Daytonaviolet and Mowerman are there any recommendations for routing the 2 wires to the passenger side mirror? I've pulled the head unit and pulled wires behind the glove box in the past to get speaker wire installed but that was a huge pain and I'm hoping not to have to go that direction. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I’m personally all about wire management. I have plenty of tesa tape and zip ties and wanted to mimic the factory. I started with the actuators and then ran my wires and secured them then soldered my connections last. I did the passenger door last ( no reason other than the bulk was in drivers kick ) and literally ran my taped wire under the carpet where it meets the firewall to the passenger kickpanel. Once I got to the passenger kick, I then started to zip tie to secure the wires and blended to mirror the factory wiring. There is ZERO reason to pull radio, console, dash, glovebox ect.
    Don’t overthink it haha....

Thank you Daytonaviolet and Mowerman! The install wasn't to bad. I managed to get the install complete inside a day and it all works as described. It was a fairly clean and straight forward process. The documentation was very helpful. I was glad I have some familiarity from installing upgraded speakers and amps a couple months ago when it came to taking the door skins off. Now that I have them installed is it your experience that they are kinda loud? the drivers side mechanism seems to be pretty noisy and takes a little longer to complete a movement over the passenger side.

Second, do you guys know if these have any sort of warranty? Just curious. Overall I'm happy with the product and would do it agin.

Thanks again for your input and documentation!

seems on my truck, the driver side motor has more noise and is a bit slower. not sure about warranty, but I know CTH stands behind there t9 head unit. I hope they will do the same for our mirrors.

So, I finally got around to installing this kit over the weekend and am starting to have some quality concerns. After only one day, while folding the driver side motor willl run a few seconds longer while making a loud grinding noise. Informed CTH last night and immediately got a response apologizing for the problem and informed me they would send out a new motor. I must say the response and service was great and appreciated but, I just hope I received a bad unit and this is not a sign of things to come...especially after dropping $160 for the kit. So for now, I just pulled the fuse which deactivated the system and am looking forward to disassembling the door panel and mirror all over again.

Sorry to hear that and hopefully it is an isolated issue. Hate that it happened to you. That being said, even though it is an inconvenience it seems like they are standing behind their product and getting you taken care of. I added it to my wife’s 4Runner a month or so ago with no issues so far ( fingers crossed ). I agree that $160 is a lot of money spent ( to some more than others ) but the only other option is from ktjo for $335 and the exact same kit. Also, Toyota dropped the ball and should have it on the 4Runner ( my opinion ) and for what it would cost as a feature/option, it would be even more. For these reasons, $160 is a no brainer and would do it all over again if needed. Just my .02 which means nothing.
Sure beats the alternative which is what I’m doing at this very second. 2021 tundra having to add oem platinum tundra power folding mirrors ( ~$700 EACH ) plus the wiring kit/switch ( $200 ). I’m literally at $1700 shipped to add this 1 feature to my truck. Which is a must to comfortably fit it into the garage.

Did you try taking it apart and putting it back together again ? Often times the grinding noise is caused by bad alignment. Something may restricting travel.

Stuff coming from China expect delays. My Grill only took (3) months. The CTH guys were always responsive so no issues with them.

That being said ordering my mirrors.

I agree, crap happens and I am sure they will make good on a replacement. Again, I just hope it is a one off and not problematic. Not sure I could even rebuild the OEM assembly given the spring removal process.

No, it was fine to start with and then it started after one day. I don’t think it is an alignment or orientation issue. It is just a case of the motor running too long. It really makes me wonder if it is the controller and not the motor since it is what is sending the signal to the motor to run. Maybe?

Well I amazingly got my mirrors from China to Hawaii in a week.

I can't even get shit from the continental US that fast. Slap them in this long weekend.

Really useful info. I bet mine will take forever because of CNY. Anyone have a discount code?

Can you fold them in while driving on trails?

As long as the truck is on or in acc mode, yes you can press the button and it will fold
