Just bought a brand new 2016 4Runner with 1 mile on it. Upgraded from a sissy RAV4 to this beast. Very excited about my new purchase no so much about the payment though. Glad the Queen Bee still works as well as I am an old retired guy. Putting together our usual and customary maintenance book and making all the necessary notes while everything is still new and clean does this truck have a timing belt or timing chain? I don't see anything in the maintenance book regarding mileage change interval. Also I could use some help with pumpkin ratios. It looks like the Jap axles don't have the ratios stamped on a plate attached to one of the axle housing bolts like American axles (Spicer, Dana). Best I can tell so far is that with the V-6 I may have 4.10's or 4.36's. Haven't checked the transfer case yet looking for the manufacturers data plate but I hopoe it is one of the New Process models. Let me know what some of you Toyota gearheads can advise as I would like to know where I stand. As always your advice and commentary are greatly appreciated. Richard in snowy Virginia.

Save your money if you have to replace it my friend. That is for the 2015 Mod but its the same engine. That's just the labor guide and what the book time is, X-that buy labor rate and parts that it equals a heavy repair. Now the good news is that's not normally something you have to do like a timing belt every 60-90k. So your good for a very long time.

    Hope that helps out.

It says order by final gear ratio in alldata. I would have to run the Vin on that one for you bud.

^ Same thing I was going to ask. What part of VA? I'm in Hampton Roads- Chesapeake, to be more specific.
