Any help identifying this part on the lower suspension? It's loose and rattling pretty bad. Easy to replace for an average garage mechanic / above average Youtuber? lol

    Newbie here, go easy. Thanks!!

Yep its the front bump stop. The thin metal part above the actual stop itself is nut shaped, so you should be able to tighten it up. If not and it just keeps spinning, then the weld nut in the frame is broken and you'll need to weld a new one in or use a rivnut to make new threads

Hopefully you can just tighten it up... put some big channel locks on it and turn till tight. Though as said above, it's also highly plausible that the nut up top has broken loose... it's a somewhat common occurrence (even happened to me on my '19). There's also not a ton of room to work with for welding that little nut back into place... and that's assuming it's not rusted/seized to the bolt. personally, I'd just sawzall the whole bumpstop off, and replace with new, and just throw a flange serrated nut on the inside for it (that is if the nut is indeed broken off).

Also, looks like you are hitting this bump stop a lot (no dust on the LCA) so you may need new front suspension

What do you guys run? I'm thinking of these to protect my shocks. But looks like they have a big lead time.

Some times my kids play come out when I see a bump on trails.

Yeah the nut on the back with a wrench is actually probably the best, I don't know how I didn't think about that lol! Yeah not that I think about it welding a nut in that area would be trick, and I not remember I did see someone drill a hole in the bump mount and weld the nut in that way. I'd say OP go for the nut on the back side if it broke off

Thanks all ... yep the nut on top has broken loose. I'll do as KBP mentions and just cut it off and use a flange serrated nut on the top. Yep Todi, time for some new suspension.

Where can i get an aftermarket bump stop the same size?

    Thanks guys!
