I got a flat less with less than 2000 miles on it also in Arizona! Looking forward to changing out the stock tires!

Yeah I wish I upgraded to 33 inch tires. I just didn’t know anything. I thought about selling mine since then only have 2k miles on them to upgrade to a bigger tire size.

Ha! I put about 20-25K miles a year on mine. I practice social distancing by driving to places where there aren't any people. :D

Not very often, aside from the gravel road on the way to work. There's really not much in the way of trails nearby, sadly.

Trips are planned though...I haven't armored the underside of this beast and lifted it just for looks! *laughs*

I do not go off road often, only camping, beach sand fishing and snow for boarding.
A few times a year when we get to go long road trip to camp we do trails but it's not a weekly or monthly thing because I am an avid fisherman and sportsman so I use it more for outdoor activities

I'm not Johnny Offroader and certainly want to avoid Broverlanderism, but . . .

I bought a tool to have fun and intend to use it.

    Bought 4Runner on Monday.
    KO2s on Thursday.
    Went off-roading on Saturday.

Just Googled closest place I could go (Big Sur, I live in San Jose) and took the family for a picnic.

Got a new perspective of the coast line from up in the hills.

    Mission accomplished.

We do a lot of desert camping and free-camping in the mountains. I expect our new truck will help there. We had been mercilessly beating the Outback for years.

I used to have a ranch in the middle of nowhere Wyoming by the Wind River reservation so to get to my house you would have to go down horrendous washboard roads that were some awful combination of snow, mud, and rocky suspension destroying hell.

I don’t do hardcore trails, and since I moved to Northern California, my off road expeditions are limited to trips to the landfill or maybe a mile or two down flat gravel trails to go mountain biking with my daughter.

I'm up in North Central about 5 hours away.

Hmm....We'll be on vacation in Branson later in August. Might see if I can convince the Wife into a quick trip over to Glade top and spend a day hitting some trails.

I have only done gravel, sand, and fire roads but in two days I will be back in Moab. Planning on spending the day in Canyonlands NP, as we did Arches last time there in 2019. Nothing to technical because my SO is inexperienced, by ourselves, and no recovery gear but we will be doing some trails I found on trailsoffroad.com

I did Sedona and Hollister in my FJ but sold that.

No legit trails near me, but I do play in the dirt when I can. I've found a couple fire roads that are probably closed technically, but no one says anything when you use them.

Trying to get a Socal group to do Cleghorn next month though, which will be my first time out there.

Was just out today showing some friends around.

We have a facebook page - Mark Twain Mafia that's all about connecting those that want to off road with others. We do frequent group trail rides. Over Memorial Day weekend we had 7 rigs + 2 atvs on Saturday and 15 vehicles + 2 atv's on Sunday. Had a good time.

Does the RTT feel worth it after a while? I go back and forth on investing in one, the price tag is a hard pill to swallow

I’m in Boulder Colorado, most of my adventures are in state.

    As far as the tent
    Pros:
    • Very very fast setup time with a hardshell
    • Very fast tear down time with a hardshell
    • Don’t need to pack and unpack the tent in and out of the vehicle since it’s attached
    • Doesn’t take up any interior space
    • Storing sleeping bags and pillows inside frees up more interior space
    • The ground surface of camp doesn’t matter - wet, rocky, uneven, soft, not level, whatever
    • Increased sense of security (especially for the significant others)
    • Being off the ground gets you away from water, bugs, and animals that may show up unexpectedly during the night
    • Cleanliness of not packing away dirty/muddy tents/tarps
    • Hardshell is more comforting in bed weather
    • Having a real mattress
    • Increased comfort overall in every aspect
    • My son loves it and WANT to go out in it
    • It’s just 1 piece of the puzzle but it’s a big step towards making your vehicle a self contained basecamp
    • With the tent and sleeping stuff already in it, it makes grabbing a couple items and being ready to go a little bit faster and more convenient
    • You can always move it to a trailer
    • When you have an special camping buddy, having flat, not lumpy ground, and a mattress has its benefits. Plus ladders and platforms can be exciting...

    Cons:
    • Prohibitively expensive for a lot of people
    • Climbing up and down for bathroom breaks
    • Tent with rack is heavy in general, but all the weight is up high which raises the center of gravity
    • Tear down before being able to drive anywhere
    • Having to find a place to park and dry it out after packing it away wet
    • It effects the height of your vehicle, from trees on trails to parking garages, you need to be mindful
    • Harder to take off and store

All in all After having it 2.5(?) years I wouldn’t go back to a ground tent unless it was a backpacking trip.

I would argue with almost 90 ft.³ of cargo capacity with the second row folded, it is one hell of an amazing grocery wagon.

    I have a 200 series as well.

The third row seats limit grocery carrying capacity unless they are removed.
