Looks great. Want to replace the wife's OEM bug guard (metal on metal no bueno). Is that AVS the bugflector or bugflector 2? If you got a P/N it's much appreciated. Thank you

Blacked out badges, window deflectors, smoked 3rd brake light. I have a Borla muffler on order as well as some color matched engine cover stickers. I'll be painting the stock wheels soon as well. Falken tires in the fall as well.

    All of them.
Installed my c4 dual battery tray in prep for either tomorrow,Sunday or Monday getting the second battery in and wired up. Also took the time to run a rope from the second battery tray through the frame and up into the rear of the truck for my power panel and fridge. That way I knew how much wire to make for the whole system.

I will say for 20/21 and maybe others you do not have to take that big plug off the passenger side fender. Just be careful and take your time and you’ll be good to go. I ended up breaking the clip that holds it into the fender so I carefully put it back in and put a small stainless screw into the plastic to act as a wedge to keep it from moving. I yanked on it a little to make sure it wouldn’t come out while out on a trail and it is as solid as the plastic teeth that were holding it. BECC8070-0ADA-4292-A8A2-9510AE975F09.jpg

All crappy drivers. The answer here is quiet simple although very counterintuitive- and that is, EASE up on the brakes. Allow the wheels to spin and you will regain some direction control. Locking up tires on the front makes steering absolutely useless. But if you allow the wheels to rotate again you can regain some control. And, of course, most important part is to keep the speed down always. Some people just lack the intellectual capacity to comprehend the decreased available traction in cold and snow.

    https://youtu.be/1jcLEkjeCy4

really frustrating watching front tires locked up and driver still steering lmao
PS: 5:30 minute mark in the video is a perfect! example of a right and wrong way to do it. Bro in the Tacoma locks up tires, turns the wheels max left and just keeps sliding straight forward helplessly. Jeep right behind him is easy on the brakes and is even slightly on the gas at times and is able to turn the car much tighter.

It's been pretty quite here in MI w/ snow. We've had maybe three decent snowfalls. Two years ago I pulled the trigger on a beauty of a machine - a Husqvarna snow blower because I was tired of years of shoveling for upwards of 2 hours at a time. Now that I have it, the past two years have seen record low snow. :frustrated:

I know what you mean. We used to have one Jeep (mine), one rear wheel drive Chrysler 300 (wife's)and one Hyundai Genesis Coup (daughters) also rear wheel drive. Got lots of snow. Now I have the 4Runner, wife has a Forester and daughter has a WRX (very low to the ground but still AWD and she has winter tires) all bought late 2018/early 2019. Last year no snow, this year a couple of inches so far that melted in two days. Not complaining at all!

Funny you mention that. My wife has a BMW X1 xDrive that is a monster in the snow, and prior to the 4runner I had a 2017 Honda Civic Hatchback - fun in 3/4 seasons and AMAZING on fuel, but when it came to winter, it was just OK, hence my justification for the 4Runner. Thankfully she loves it as much as I do, but we joke this always happens. I am only complaining in the sense that I want to throw snow the unbelievable distance this blower does for kicks, beyond that, I am OK with a quiet/dry winter.

hey guys, so I installed some icon 2.5 ext. travel w/Dirt King bj ucas upfront and 5100s w/wheelers off-road 1.5” t13 springs out back. I used the sway bar relocation kit for the front... my problem is now the sway contacts the driver side suspension brace/skid plate bracket dealio! You can see in the first picture, sorry it’s sideways having trouble posting on phone today lol

I guess OME has a replacement part for it but having trouble finding it. Any ideas?

edit* I put the supplied washers in as spacers like instructions said and it gave enough clearance, still prefer that OME brace!!

Took roughly 4 hours. 2.5 was designing the battery hold down and mount for the redarc and the breaker. I will have to install another breaker for the rear of the truck and will work on that Sunday or Monday depending. But the main parts are done and and working as intended. Still need to run the wires for the solar as well.A612710C-03E2-4E4A-80C0-804AFEF23CF8.jpgD6A8D606-05A1-4B82-ACCA-14E3F1B317B1.jpg

I have a 4R with the predator package, so it has all black accents except for the front and rear bumpers. I forgot to take a picture before my mod, but it has the standard silver front facia below the grill and a silver facia on the rear bumper. So I decided to Plasti-dip the bumpers. Below are the results.

Definitely improves the look of the 4R, as now all accents are black.

I noticed for 2021, the predator package gets white front and rear facias. I like the black so much better.

Who cares? This never shows everything anyway.
Some turbo turdburglar decided to get into my 4Runner last night and steal what money they could find. I guess they were ticked off badly enough that I only had maybe a couple bucks worth of change in my truck that they also decided to steal my registration and insurance information. I didn't see anything else that was missing.

I'm in the habit of checking to see if I locked my vehicle, but maybe I forgot to do it last night and was the victim of bad luck. Nothing was broken. I just noticed things weren't as I left them yesterday when I sat down in it this morning. It wouldn't have bothered me so much if they only stole the money. I get it. Things are hard right now. I've been up to Wall Street and gave a homeless guy on the street a few bucks. I've got a 2020 4Runner in the current day and age, and I'm not over my head financially with it. I'm okay with someone needing the change in my truck more than I need it, but they also took the registration and insurance information, and for what? Just to spite me? They didn't even bother taking anything else.

That really sucks. So sorry. I’ve heard they steal those documents in order to get your home address. For theft. Or maybe they can use them for identity theft. What I did was put a hold on all of the credit bureaus so no cards or other lines of credit can be opened without me unlocking them first.

That's good to know, thanks. At least I don't have to worry any more than usual (which is not much, one of the safest towns in NJ) about a home invasion because the theft happened in my driveway. They were already there.

    Hmmm... I just googled this.
Thieves can use a registration for other crimes like trying to sell your car, with your VIN they can get the title from DMV, take out a loan against your car. Or just sell it to someone else on the dark web who has the ambition to do those things.

There’s some advice about what to do now. Like report it to the DMV.

So I tried to install the six shooter and just something about their wireless controller kinda put me off. It didn’t feel cheap or anything and the unit is really nice and well put together but idk. I like keeping things looking oem in the inside of the truck for whatever reason. I thought long about it and I don’t know why it is putting me off so much that it doesn’t fit in the lower dash pocket so I boxed it all back up and sat it aside trying to talk myself into sending back or keeping it. If I do send it back I’m debating on one of those 6/8 gang switch panels and putting it in the driver side upper vent area with the sdhq mount. But I’m still not sold. Any suggestions.
