USB port not reading

Hello,

My USB/AUX original port of my Limited 2018 4runner is not reading my USB, it charges my phone but on the radio screen it does not show the USB port available. I have already dismounted the original radio and checked the cables were pluged in, but it does not recognize the USB.

Any sugestions to solve my issue?

On my 2021, I have to use a USB flash drive that is formatted with Fat32. My 64 GB drive formatted with exFat wouldn't work until I formatted it to Fat32. This may or may not be your issue, but perhaps may help.

 

Formatting is a good start
Also make sure your cable is data transfer compatible

 

fomat fat32, choose a file allocation unit larger or equal to 4k, maybe 8k to be sure
i would use a drive 64GB oe 32gb to start with

 

This Fat 32 may answer a question I had about my flash drive that I’ve used on my recent Jeep and Challenger. They read it fine but Toyota doesn’t recognize everything.
