You most likely will, especially in reverse. I had a Tacoma with that size tire with those wheels and I only rubbed full locked in reverse but it had a 1” lift upfront.

I guess mine does rub teeniest bit in reverse but in the front
I might go with the TRD wheels then to have that little bit of offset unless anyone else can chime in.

I have the same size Ray10's you are looking at. I've got 265/70/17 Ridge Grapplers on mine and had a slight rub in reverse down hill full lock turn at the bottom of the hill backing out of my driveway.

    So, yes...I'd say you'll rub with 275's

    Hey!

Can you post some all around pics of your rig? I have been looking at those exact rims for my black TRD Off Road. I felt like the color would look great with my front and rear valances.

looks good! I love the aggressive offset these rims give. I had a black set on my Tacoma. Getting ready to lift my 4Runner and I just know these rims combined with a lift, and 285's will require me to do a CMC.

it depends on a lot. i have a buddy that has the toytech 3in and has 285s with no cmc and they dont rub but he has methods. so its possible.

the first part of this equation is even getting these damn wheels..

At -10mm with a 285, you will most likely rub unless you get good UCA’s and get a good alignment tech. But plan on at least rubbing on the body mount, and probably not the pinch weld unless you get bigger tires.

I only buy from the "Blemished Wheels" thread on Tacomaworld. worth the savings for sure.

Yeah I know I would rub. I am getting the Eibach set up which is only 2.75 of lift which does not really need upgraded UCA's, so I am not getting them.

Over 2” I would highly suggest UCAs, it’s the standard. I’d suggest saving yourself the headache, just buy them now instead of being stuck with having to drive with bad alignment numbers that’ll wear down your tires faster and then having to go back and get it all done.

I have 285/70/17 tires, 8.5" wide wheels with -10 offset... I have the Eibach pro lift kit.

I didn't rub at all on the body mount... I did rub quite a bit on the front bumper... A little trimming is all that was needed to stop all the rubbing. Not much trimming either...

That being said, I did go ahead and get a BMC, did the fender liner mod, and trimmed the front bumper at the same time.

You can see here that it's hard to even tell the plastic on the bumper was trimmed. But again, no BMC was really needed... I did it so later I could go up in size to 285/75s

Also, if anyone is looking for SCS wheels, check out freeman toyota online, they carry them and have stock quite often.

    finally did the deed. 265/70/17

rubs full lock reverse on the same side as before and is even
worse then when I had 275s! not too bad tho, gonna get under there this weekend and see if I can trim it.

You mentioned on this picture that you have the Eibach Pro lift kit on the 4Runner: is it the front 2.75” and rear 1.0”? Thank you.
