New to the forum and new to the off road world. Thinking of getting first stage icon suspension or fox suspension witch one is better for a nice ride on the street and off road don’t go off-roading that much but I enjoy it maybe like once every two months nothing crazy just some trails. Please help me out or recommend something else as I’am new to this

    Welcome to the forum!

Between Fox and Icon, I would go Fox. There are other popular options as well. I would recommend a smaller lift, if any, as the 4runner has plenty of clearance for mild trails.

Welcome to the forum Jon, if you do a little reading on here you can get an idea of what would work for you.

100% would go with fox, they’ll give you a better ride on/off road than icons will. I would suggest searching and learning about how shocks are valved differently. Shocks will either have a progressive, digressive, or linear valving and it sounds like you’ll benefit from linear the best which is what fox is.

I learned a decent bit about valving and how coilovers work by reading the links below
