Picked up a new off road premium in nautical blue. Analysis paralysis on the color, but very happy with where I landed. stock size SL rated Toyo open country III to replace stock tires. NH oil on the underbody. M27 ceramic coat from meguairs. Looking forward to its first Maine winter. Trips to the white mountains, Baxter state park, and Acadia NP in the future. Also Cape Cod beach driving. Learned a lot on this forum. Excellent resource.

I had a deposit on an MGM. But I’m a sucker for blue. With the market for 4runners so tight, when I found a blue one I jumped on it. I’m now of the opinion that it really would look good in any color.

When I started shopping, I drove a silver one. It was beautiful! I eventually decided I would take anything but black or white. When I was ready to roll, the dealer I was working with had 2 MGM on the lot with KDSS. That made the decision easy! :)

I always liked that blue, though. There was one that drove past my work every day and I would drool every time.

Welcome, thats my favorite color pick! I always dreamed of living in Maine. I could never convince the other half to go:frustrated:. Moose in my backyard, and just a little drive down the hill and get some fresh lawbsta. Thats how I envision it anyway.

Ha! I recently moved to southern Maine from Portland, Oregon. Lobster is on offer everywhere. People are small town nice. It was the better half that got me out here - so far, happy I came. Taxes sucked when registering rig tho. And I have to wear bright orange when I run, for fear of being shot by a hunter. And interstate tolls. And fear of rust (so no KDSS). But yeah, Maine has great beer and outdoor fun. So all is well.

    Sharp looking truck!!

I live outside Portland (ME) and have a place in northern Somerset County where I grew up.

I use Fluid Film on all of our vehicles. It has to be reapplied yearly, but it works well. Woolwax is supposed to be the same minus the odor....Fluid Film has a very unique smell.

Thanks! I looked into FLuid Film, wool wax, etc. NH Oil looked like a comparable product to fluid film. Wax lasts longer, but it does not creep. The oil gets everywhere. Wax plus oil was quoted at $1k. I get why one would drop that coin on rust prevention for a new vehicle - but damn. Yeah, I’ll do the fluid film or NH Oil every year or every other year. Not a big deal. Also, I hear it helps prevent rodents from eating the soy based wiring. So I have that going for me.
