Currently, I've been looking into buying a front bumper for my 4runner. And I think I'm going to go with the costal offroad front bumper kit, it looks good and is relatively cheap. Only thing, is that I'm going to only buy the middle section, just like another member - HCWaston997 - did. I really like the tube style and I was going to do something similar to his. The only question I have is, will I have any issues leaving what seems to be the coolant reservoir, or something similar, exposed. Heres some pictures of what he did, and you can see the exposed parts on the side. Would it be smarter to include some mesh protection in the middle of the tubes? Any information would help, thanks.

There’s a whole lot of exposure there. Good luck with this mod.

Do you think the exposure will be a huge issue? If it is how can I try an avoid issues.

Thankfully, I live in an area where it doesn't snow, I'm more worried about average driving and your normal conditions, wind, water, and debris. Just on its own, I'm hoping it does well. But do you have any pictures of what you did with your 4th gen? I'd like to see what your talking about.

Gotcha, I was thinking, I might just bend some metal, and spray it black as you said and just cover the important bits, while still retaining the tube hybrid look. I appreciate the advice!
