    Hello 4Runner community, Thought I’d better create a new thread to introduce myself before jumping in with my question. I don’t presently have a 4Runner but am a former 4Runner owner:

    Had a 1985 4Runner (22 RE) Manual transmission

    *slower than owl….. (and a painful drive to Tahoe ski locations (slow lane with flashers)

    Loved that old truck (of course I wanted more power but..)

    Taught my wife how to drive a stick/manual in it and spent many a night sleeping in the back

    GREAT Times!

    Now, years later I’ve wasted way too much time/decades waiting for the 4Runner I want to be built and clearly Toyota isn’t going to do it so I’m joining this forum to see if you guys (likely the real experts) can assist.

    Thanks for the add, and I’m looking forward to learning from you.

    To properly address your questions more information is needed.
    Like;
    What is its purpose?
    How will it be used daily?
    What do you expect of it?
    Most importantly, do you want (or like us dislike) Toyota Safety Sense? That is 2020+
    Good hunting,
    Ryan.

    Another Wisconsin welcome! I loved my old 22RE in a pickup, but you are correct.... real low on power.
