Hello, new member. We acquired in the spring a 95 4Runner with a blown 3VZE. This has been a father son project but as of late turned into more of a father only project. We bought it with the top end of the engine torn apart. We are close to starting for the first time after rebuilding the engine. This will be a vehicle for my son to drive. I have a modifed '94 FJZ80 myself that we offroad quite a bit.

    Welcome!

If this is for your son to drive, what happened to his part in the build/fix??

Yes, this is supposed to be for him to drive but his attention span isnt what I hoped it would be.

I have a conundrum sorting out the wiring harnesses on this 3.0L. I have found where everything goes except this plug . It runs on the same conduit run as the oil pressure switch down around the distributor. Any ideas what its for?

TOTAL shot in the dark but looks similar in size and layout to a water temp sensor on my car (not a 4runner but the plug looks similar). You may have already isolated that plug in which case, disregard my comment.

    Welcome

Right idea. Those Father/Son projects are definitely a hit or miss. We support you. Ha. Let us know if we can help. Cheers.

I figured it out, it goes to the A.D.D. harness which has been bypassed (jerry rigged).
