I am on my fourth 4Runner. Got my 2021 Limited this week. (11/19/2021)
In every single 4Runner the IPod Classic crashes. Thinking it was an Apple issue the Apple store no questions asked replaced the unit twice. Which means I’ve had three different Classics all suffer crashes in less than sixty plays.
The 2021 4Runner is the worst yet. Has not made it to 15 plays. All 150gb of the music is in Apple Lossless.
    Anyone else have similar issue?

I was in your shoes in 2015. Had to have my iPod... store clerks would laugh and say why not get a flash drive:lalala:
400 bucks later I couldn't even give the damn thing away. Fast forward is that now, Tidal has better than cd sound and Amazon HD ultra has much more for less bucks. That and 70 million songs vs whatever the iPod would hold. Actually most android and iPhones can store what the iPod did and play just fine

Bro! It's time to cut the cord.

    Just use your phone.

    Connect to bluetooth.

Amazon Prime music unlimited is pretty awesome.

We like our Alexa app. on the 4Runner, it seems to work ok, This is modern electronic stuff, which kind of "escapes" a non-savy old guy like myself. I remember when we got our 4Rnner the supposed electronic guru couldn't get Alexa to work, so my wife and I read the manual and got it to work. I am probably comparing apples to oranges, but that what I know about our system.
