    Hi,

I prepping my coilovers for install on a 2020 TRD ORP. The front is stock but I have a Prinsu full roof rack and plan to add various items to the rack.

My coilovers have 550# springs and the preload collars fully backed off. According to the folks at King, that will give me ~1-1.5" of lift up front.

Based on the documentation given, 5 turns on the preload collar adds 1" of lift. I also called King and the folks I spoke to stated the same. They also mentioned anything above 5 turns voids the warranty.

Based on my current research, 5 turns from fully backed off will give ~2-2.5" of lift.

I'm reaching out to the community for your take on preload. Can anybody confirm this?

I paired this setup with 3" Icon rear springs, would like to maintain rake, and will add a hitch mounted spare carrier in the near future.

    Thank you.

I went to about 9 threads. Maybe 11 on passenger side to account for KDSS lean as well as settling on both sides. Over all lift way maybe 2.25”

Thanks. Have you heard of the 5 turn limit from fully backed off (to maintain warranty)?

First is driver and second is passenger. This gave me 2.75” of height over stock with sliders and skids.

    Thank you for your post.

    What's your spring rating?

What would you say the preload is in terms of collar revs?

    Looking forward to your response.

the springs are 550 or whatever normally comes with them. You can see the amount of threads in the picture. If it’s not clear enough I can go out and count it later tonight for you.

I am at 2.5”, it was at 2” when they first installed it with 4 or 5 treads showing. I think it’s at about 9 now.

This is what I'm going with initially. 8 revs passenger, 10 revs driver from full backed off. Not threads, collar revolutions.

Hopefully, I'm not too far off of ~2.5" lift height on a 2020 TRD ORP.

    Please LMK what you think.

Does anybody have the Camburg Billet UCA's and running the King (non-KDSS) coil overs with external resi's? Per Camburg' recommendations, my lift height requires the UCA's in standard caster setting but it seems like that puts the UCA's so far forward that the resi mounts interfere.

How many miles or much time for the coils to settle? I installed my setup as stated above and ground to apex delta is a little over 3”

I know this is an older post but how many threads did you end using? Were the 8 and 10 a solid choice?
