    Around these parts,
Subarus are known as lesbian vehicles
    4Runners have no affiliation
    Wranglers are for posers
BMWs (sedans or SUVs) are known as vehicles of a**holes of any sex or gender

In my experience, drivers of minivans become real a**hats around me when I drove my Audi S8 or my Audi S5 (both sold), but when I drive my Audi A4 or 4Runner, they seem closer to normal, but seemingly always want to do 20mph over the posted speed limit.

Go figure. I love that the 4Runner 2nd row seats (bottom tilted forward, seat backs up) make a great dog transportation area.

It's amazing what we do for our pets. I don't have any children but I'm proud to say that I am a dog mom. :)

Who cares? This never shows everything anyway.
I know a lesbian whose girlfriend drives a Subaru. The one that I know drives a Hyundai.

I'd potentially be driving a Subaru these days if they weren't so hard for CVTs.

I live in an area with a very high lesbian population and know a few. I bought my house from a lesbian couple. None that I know personally drive Subarus. Most drive full-size pickups, Harleys, and other "manly" vehicles. This is Subaru country up here and my boss drives one. He's a former FBI head honcho and Navy pilot. Our CFO drives a Subaru. They work well in the snow up here so pretty much every demographic drives them.

I’m also in SoCal, and see a mix of male & female 4Runner drivers. Mostly guys driving modded runners. I myself am a lady person, and our 4Runner is “my” vehicle. It is currently stock, except for the sparkly plate frame :D however, we have plans for soMe mods eventually. Just bought in later August, and I’m a teacher so not much brain bandwidth to make decisions right now.

I just thought I would throw a bit of my midwest working diesel "bling" on my truck up to let everyone understand that all diesel enthusiasts are using their parent money & blasting people in convertibles.
I bought the truck new in 2004 but due to IT'S job it shows... I only have one chrome wheel left (looking for the aluminum Alcoa wheels for strength & longevity). It is short only head studs & a better programer! I have a lot of money into this truck but it is purely functional.
Also, I don't want a new truck just to start over...
Any vehicle that serves your needs is appropriate. I believe the thread was made in jest but I take pride in my "clean" diesels.

I have seen women driving F-550 dump truck, trash trucks & busses with men driving smart cars etc... it is transportation!

I know a female that drives a 2012 SR5, she actually kind of talked me into getting mine LOL. In my area there are a few females that drive them, but they're vastly outnumbered by male drivers. Anecdotally, I think I see more females driving JKs and JLs now.

It’s a fairly even split as far as 4Runners in general around me. But when you start separating trim levels, there’s a noticeable disparity. I notice more men in TRDs and SR5s, modified or not. But I definitely notice more women in the Limited trim, and the majority of those are quite attractive. Actually saw a good example of this tonight. The very attractive nurse at my doctors office left in a brand new white Limited. One exception, my wife drives our SR5 Premium.

I don’t see many women in my area driving them. I ran this by my wife. She has been driving Acura’s for years. Great vehicles. I told her she could take over my 2020 Pro and I would take her Acura and trade it in on a Tacoma. Her answer was even tho she likes my Pro she prefers her Acura. So it was a no go.

Same here. The girl loves her 4R Pro, and I love driving it too. It’s also the daily for when we take the doggies. She does however always try to find excuses to steal my truck because it has the loud stereo / exhaust, and she likes the big tires.

Thanks for being a good family with our four legged friends ! My cat just turned 15 and is still very active and healthy ! Main reasons are : she gets exercise everyday by having to jump up to get food/water and is always available/fresh, she is never left to just 'run' around town ...she goes outside almost daily and usually ready to come in after 10 minutes or so. Cared for and engaged with everyday !!

Wish could afford both too, but will def get a Tundra again in the future. This 4Runner is just too good to trade away. Props to your brother, sounds a lot like me ..leo, secure and dating younger women.

    Love my stock SR5 !

Reliable yes. If you think it's safe I wouldn't look at the IIHS crash test vids. 4Runner has terrible small offset crash test performance. It's because it's so old. So it's a give and take with being tried and true for reliability and very poor crash performance at the same time.

And thats before you throw in a body mount chop and remove a chunk of steel that’s meant to keep the wheel/tire from intruding into the cab and crushing your legs.

If safe and reliable were my top priorities, and I wasn't going off-road, I would be in a sedan or crossover. Or, basically anything but a clumsy BOF SUV.

I would be curious to see an actual study of crash test results with and without a BMC. I certainly agree that it can compromise the strength of the body mount. I just wonder how much.
