    Hello,
Few weeks ago I replaced my tires and noticed that this "plate" around the brake is rusted, and bent to the point is touching the disc.
I tried to straighten this part but it was kind of falling apart. I felt like it can break if I'm touching it too much.
    1. What is the name of this part?
    2. Any solution of how to fix it?
    3. Is that something common?
I attached image which I found online.
    Thanks. FOTO_20201102_200543.jpg

That part is commonly called the brake backing plate. It could also be called a shield but that's not what most people call it. It is there to protect the back side of the rotor and also may have some effect on airflow/cooling of the brake rotor. If you can get it where it doesn't touch the rotor it will likely be ok. If I'm not mistaken replacing it is a bit of a job. I think you have to basically separate the hub assy to change the plate. I haven't done it on mine so I'm not sure. Maybe others who have done it will chime in.

Yes, it is the brake backplate. If you need an OEM one, try toyotapartsdeal.
