2005 4runner Sport, 265000 K. One of my brake lines ruptured today, as I was driving to get parts on my Tacoma. It's right behind the gas tank and has a right angle to get over the gas tank. Can I get a prebent piece? Anyone know how hard it is to get around the tank? It's the one on the right.

I did buy new flex lines for this job, but the old lines are so caroded that I can't see how to take them out.

Thanks. I spent the weekend drilling out the gas tank strap bolt that snapped off. I tried grinding the bolt flat, starting with a smaller bit, but still ended up drilling off center so that I then had to cut off the rest of the bolt and welded nut. I always have a hard time drilling a perfect center on a busted bolt.

It's an awkward place to cut but I was able to get an oscillating multi tool blade in there and cut it off so I a flat place for a nut. Im such a slow mechanic. I can finally get back to the brake lines.

So, I cannot just replace my ruptured middle lines because the rear lines are looking awful. The flexible hose is none too pretty either. However, I cannot get the rear brake lines out of the flexible hose and I cannot get the flexible hose out of the top brackets. The bottom brackets have visible clips, the tops do not appear to have clips. I tried taking the top bracket completely off, but I rounded that bolt very nicely.

I would prefer to get the tops of the flexible hose out somehow so I could neatly replace the flexible hose cause I don't think I can get the rear brake lines out without tearing things up. Alternatively, I could just zip tie or otherwise attach my new parts to existing parts. The pictures are my ugly rear brake lines with the clips on the flex line showing, the tops of other end of the flex hose, and the bottoms of the other end of flex hose.
