Any issues with the tss? It looks to be blocking it from that angle. But I remember someone saying it cleared it just fine. I am wanting to go that route but aluminum

Love this website... Did a search earlier about my rear defrost not working.. After trying the fuse I still couldn't get it working.. It was suggested to check and make sure the rear window was completely closed...
Problem solved... Must have been down less than an 1/8 inch so I didn't notice it..

    Thanks everyone!!!

Nope, I thought it was gonna be higher near the horizontal piece of the bumper but everything works just fine.

Does anyone recommend the best 5000k HIDs for both low/high beams, and my OEM fog lights? Thank you in advance!

HID isn’t a bad solution for low beams; but you don’t want HID for high beam. HID’s are slow to come up to full output and temp color... which isn’t ideal for something you need to turn off/on on the fly.

A great alternative to HID’s for low beam though, is to switch to a halogen H9 bulb. Just have to make a couple small snips to convert the bulb to fit. The light may not be as white as HID, but the useable throw/distance of the light is better.

For fogs; LED’s work great for fogs; but I don’t have a good specific recommendation. On my Taco I used KC Hilites amber fogs, they were supposed to be road legal, but they were a hair too bright and I’d get flashed if I used them. On my 4Runner I have Baja Designs amber fogs, and while they are phenomenally bright, they can only really be used off road.

Best you can do is retrofit BiLed2 morimoto projectors. Or buy kustom54 who outfits them. projectors have awesome output without blinding oncoming traffic. Any led / hid you out in oem headlights is gonna mess with people.
Cheapest option under 20bucks is H9 bulb

I find the H9 swap to be just what it needed. Easy swap and best bang for the buck by far.

Thank you bro - this is really good information! Shows you how much I know about headlights! :) So the high beams I presume, will just be left alone? Thanks again for the recommendations - it's greatly appreciated!

Yeah, I’ve found that the stock high beams work well enough as is. It’s just the stock lows that need some attention (and it’s really just the stock low beam bulbs that they use from the factory that are weak; I believe they were chosen for longevity as opposed to light output/performance).

I ended up taking your advice and going with LEDs; I ordered a set (Cougar Motor & I hear they're a great brand of LED) for low beams and high beams (want to see how the high beams turn out since I prefer matching). I also ordered a set for my fog lights (Fahren) so we'll see how this turns out. Thanks again; will send pics when I install them!

What brand melted your fog lights lenses? Did they have a built-in fan?
