Hey, I have a 2004 Limited V8 4wd with 33,000 on it. I bought it off a guy in Virginia that kept it in his vacation home garage since new and drove it about 1700 miles a year. I love it, but am wondering what this thing may be worth. Title in hand. Original sticker. Brand new tires. All major maintenance was done in Nov of 2019. Immaculate. Nav with the back seat remote control. Leather. All nets for the back. Upper deck shelf. Headlights are crystal clear, with zero yellowing due to being in the garage. Anyone know what it is truly worth? Happy to share videos and photos.

Wayy to much honestly. You got a unicorn but few people will be willing to pay what it's worth. Not trolling you, V8 w 33k miles? Holy moly.

If that's the one you want I would pay the high end of private party blue book. Don't over pay just because of the novelty of getting one with so few miles. One that has 130,000 on it that has been taken care of would be almost as good

I got so lucky with this one. I had a 5 month old BMW X5 that I sold when I found this 4Runner. I was never driving the BMW anymore because this is so fun.

@Dakota Red I own it already. Just wondering if it is worth selling for a profit to help with my kids college tuition.

I can assure you that you regret selling it. The profit you'll get won't supplant any losses of getting something else that will cost you money, or maintenance in the long run.

This is a cheap vehicle to own, and as long as the timing belt is done on that thing recently, you're good.

That’s bringatrailer.com material. Could bring 15-25k. It is a risk.

If you knew what I paid for it, you would kick me off the forum. The guy either didn't care what he had, or didn't know the real value. My mechanic said to drive it for 8 years and get all of my money back.

Here are the videos the guy sent to me. It had 28,000 when I bought it in April.

It's better in person. The mats were a little dirty, but they have been washed and put in storage. Replaced with Weather Tech mats. Also, I took out the nav system and installed a Pioneer unit with Wireless Car play. I have the original unit and the remote control that is used by the back passengers to adjust volume and channel. The controller was still in the original 16 year old plastic bag. There is a unit on the headboard behind the sunroof that it communicates with. I've never seen this on a 4Runner before or since. The nets for the back were still in the original bag, never opened. The protective plastic that was covering the JBL logo on the front doors was still there! The window sticker is still in the owners manual. I think it was 47k new. Has the Xreas suspension, and rides like you are on a cloud. No leaking at the shocks at all. A massive maintenance list was done in 2017 at 26,000 miles, including the timing belt.

UNICORN! He was buying a Tesla X and needed the garage space. I went from a 73k SUV to a 16 year old one and couldn’t be happier. Also, no car payments!

This is good news. The timing belt is good for 10 years, or 100,000 miles. Even at that low mileage, you are right to have it changed.

That said, drive it. It's not a collector's vehicle, it's meant to be used. You just happen to have time traveled and got probably the nicest, lowest mileage V8 4Runner on Earth. I'm kinda not joking.

holy balls dude. i'd almost suggest that you send your kid to college with that thing, but then that would mean you wouldn't have it to drive.

@Tylandus I bought him a 2008 4Runner SR5 with 90k on it. That is what started my search for a low mileage with a V8. His is our project rig, where mine is going to stay stock for the next few years. I may buy some KO2's and rims to slap on when we want to go Overlanding, but nothing major. The suspension is so good right now, i can't see spending a bunch of money on a OME or Bilstein setup. This thing runs flat around corners and absorbs shitty roads as good, if not better, than my X5 did.

1st gens are collector items, 4th are not. But on BAT he could probably get 25k easily.

Keep it and send your kid to college in it. Great find. Follow the market and see what they are bringing in the next several months for comparison. The 1st gens and 3rd gens are just now starting to follow the old FJs in the collector world, so there isn't much interest in the 4th gens yet, and they don't draw the nostalgia like the 1st gens. You probably won't see one on BAT anytime soon. Too many people are hanging on to these because they run forever and they had the soccer mom stigma for years. I see retirees driving them all the time still.

@mrmike7189 but not with a V8, leather, etc. Buy I get your point. I was kidding when I tossed out that number. I would need enough to replace it. I’m good with keeping it for 8 years and selling it for what I paid. I paid 12k cash by the way. Happy with the situation.
