TRD supercharger thoughts?

Hello, my name is Brian and I am happy to be a new member. I am just starting to shop for a 3rd gen. In my shopping I have came across a couple with the TRD supercharger. I wasn't really shopping for a supercharged 4runner but it peaked my interest enough to ask if anyone who has one is happy with it and how has the reliability been? I haven't been around superchargers for many years so I am definitely out of the loop but curious.

I'm not impressed with the TRD superchargers. I work for a race team for the World Challenge Series and we ran Scion TC's with TRD superchargers. In one weekend we had two cars and went through three SC's in two races. We did win at VIR but at a ridiculous price. Granted extreme abuse from racing conditions and my bias passion for turbos. All the cars were factory internals and kept within certain power restrictions (around 240bhp). Unless you have disposable funds, vehicle has low mileage and maintenance records I would advise stay away. And just for fun look up the cost of a replacement TRD SC.
