Hey all! Wondering what sort of suspension you would suggest going with. So far the plan is add on front and rear bumper kits in the future. What size lift, brand would be needed to hold up the extra weight? Looking at coastal off-road for the bumpers. Thanks!

Are you going with a full front bumper? Tire carrier for rear bumper? Sliders? If so be ready to spend some coin. You’ll want most likely want 700lbs springs in the front and in the rear you’ll want some heavy duty coils.

Victory 4X4 is a good USA company for after market bumpers - lots of options, and realistic/dependable delivery times. My only advice is not to get too heavy. Weight really decreases the performance of the vehicle in many ways.
A 700 lb front spring is great, if it’s paired with a properly designed and tuned shock, you won’t feel it. It’s what a 4 Runner needs, imho. If you’re looking at the high end of good suspensions, better include Elka in there as well. I have a 2.5 IFP on mine and it’s perfect. Lastly, imho you don’t need to lift Toyota’s high to have them look good. Any modest lift of ~2” is perfect. Tacoma’s and 4 Runners just seem to look more in scale and proportion with a lift in that range. Of course, if you want more, just go for it. But if it’s a daily driver, it’s about right.

Been gone for a while! Work has been nuts.

Thank you all for the feedback! Being as i am not made of money i decided to go with the following lift:

    Bilstein 6112 with Coilovers
Bilstein 5160 Series with Remote Reservoir
    Icon 2" Springs

Still picking out wheels and tires, need your suggestions on those! Would like to keep wheel size at 17". Need to know how large of a tire i could go without doing any cutting. As well as any backspacing on the wheels to look for.

    Anything helps!
