I’m looking to add rock sliders to my build and I can’t seem to decide which ones to go with. What are you guys running and how do you like them? What would you guys recommend?

+1 for RSG sliders. My brother in law has had them for a few years and loves them and now that I finally have a 4runner of my own it was one of the first things I wanted to do. They look great and I love the traction top they have for our winters here with kids snowboard boots.

Are most people running flat or angled? Any opinions on RCI?

I bought the angled RSG sliders with the top plate / kick-out. They work pretty well as a step but if you have kids or dogs you may want to consider the flat sliders.

They would also serve as a step for my vertically challenged wife. Flat is probably better, with the top grip.

Good call. My wife uses the sliders as a step too.

Flat with grip top plate here. Wife uses them every time she gets into the truck. I use them to access the roof also.

Angled if your going to wheel it pretty good. Flat gives you a big square like platform to get hung up on. So more clearance with angled

Yet another vote for RSG. They're built solid, look good, and have many options. The price was good, too!

Recently installed Smittybilt SRC Side Armor on my 2020 T4R ORP.
They are quite nice and no-nonsense functionally ideal for my purposes. They are sufficiently hefty and nicely welded and finished. Easy to install, all the holes were perfect.
I've had two trucks out here that each cost me 2-3k for repairs after discovering hidden lava rock chunks exploring in tall cane grass.
If I was planning on regular heavy rock crawling, I might have chosen a beefier welded-on design, but these are more than sufficient. They were priced affordably, and were available stock through 4-wheel parts Honolulu store, which saved me an enormous freight bill. Th pair were around $425 landed on Maui. All the custom house ones were well north of $700 with shipping.
We're weld-modding the lame aluminum side steps that came stock on the ORP, and they'll be a nice addition to my 2000 Tundra farm truck.

Grip top? Is there a texture on yours? Or, did you add something? Just curious. Mine are just powder coated. I haven't slipped yet, but they're basically smooth.

RSG offers two versions of the top plate. One has the grip edges down, the other has them up. So basically, the same top plate, but flipped 180° depending on whether you want the serrated edges of the holes facing up or down.

I used this thread to make my decision with RSG: flat, kick out, traction grip plate, DOM, powder coated.

I ended up going with 4xinnovations weld on sliders. Which in reality comes out to the same costs as bolt on sliders after instal and shipping are thrown in to the mix. But I’m very happy with how they look now I just need to see how they perform
