Anyone have any luck stuffing a 285/70/17 underneath in spare tire area? Want to carry a full size spare. I have an onboard air compressor so airing down tire to fit is not an issue if it will.

Been looking a RIGd tire carrier but they are super expensive. Excellent quality but I think they are a bit overpriced.

    Thanks

Whats the point of having an underinflated spare?

But everyones fits from what they say. On my to do list for mine.

I have onboard air. So if it had to be deflated to fit, it wouldn't be an issue for me. I'd rather spend $200 plus on a tire versus $1,300 on a tire carrier that works plus the cost of a tire.
