I was torn between them and Prinsu. did a lot of web research and I placed an order with them last night. I think the over hang will grow on me. If the quality is there, for the price...cant wait to rock that rack.

Any update and review on the Bravo rack? What did you love what would you change?

I installed my Uptop overland Bravo rack today. Wasn’t easy but it looks great. I’m trying to sort out a droning issue at 50 mph.

I'm torn between greenlane, uptop and diy. Greenlane mounting blocks have me leaning their way, but (5) crossmembers come standard leaving 4 open spaces and they are only 3/4". Uptop has the most tactical look with a massive 50"×8' footprint. Not a fan of the 3/16" side rails or mounting brackets. Which leads me to diy. Is the drone from their windfairing? Any installed pics? Is the rear most crossmember stood up instead of horizontal? Thanks

Have you all considered Wescott Design roof rack??? I was thinking of selling my GOBI roof rack to get this one. A little on the costly side but oh boy does this company put out some awesome quality stuff (yes I might be a little biast since I am getting their Rock Sliders installed). However, they do awesome work and everything I have seen them put out is top notch IMHO.

I've had my Bravo roof rack for a couple months now, absolutely love the design especially since it gives me more room for cargo with the wider rack. I have the 38' cut out also with and Extreme LED light bar. There is some wind noise but it's expected and you can adjust the forward forward crossbar just behind the wind deflector to minimize the noise even more. I did have my concerns about the light bar's light being blocked by the front fairing but surprisingly there's no real loss of light.

I'm heading to SLC this weekend to install my 23Zero RTT on the rack; updates on that road trip in the near future. Keep in mind UpTop is still in it's growing stages so product availability is limited right now. Keep the suggestions going their way on future mods that might make your rack even better and better suited for you needs evolve.

Here's a couple shots of how the rig is set up now.

I have a Bravo on an '20 Pro and absolutely love it. I honestly haven't had much whistle or additional wind noise from it. We have a RoofNest tent that we use when "camping" and the rack handles it like a champ. Plus Drew and the guys are UpTopOverland are great to deal with.. and love supporting my local Colorado companies.

I don't see why not. Most jon boats only weigh a 100lbs +. Doesn't seem like the best method for transporting it, but it would work. Just make sure it doesn't weigh more than 300lbs.

Where are you located?? I'm in the cape just south of Boston MA. Westcott has a similar (prinsu, victory, sso, greenlane) look. I'm definitely liking the drop ins for a solid top, but it looks like you lose access to all your t slots.

The last crossbar sits just behind the shark fin antenna and is non adjustable. Here the best pic I have of the top/rear corner. Let me know if you need a better pic.

Went to Westcott design this morning. I don’t see a place for the T slots but he has other options to hookup if that is what up are looking to do.

the footprint is massive but it flows well visually in person. the wind noise is a little much for me. hopefully I can make some adjustments to it and elevate this problem. finish is nice and screws were a hair short which made installation a bit more challenging. ordered came in 11 weeks after I made purchase, all screws and bolts nicely packaged. just my 2 cents

Just ordered a bravo last week for my 19' offroad. I can agree with the above messages with customer service, Drew is awesome, I originally ordered it with a universal 40" cutout, but i changed my mind as i ws picking Drew brain asked him if i could change the cutout to the extreme Led and he took care of it no hassle. To the guys already have it mounted, did it take longer than 6 weeks to get?

Ordered mine in July and picked it up at the local UPS in September. Had it not got delivered to the wrong address somewhere in Colorado I would have gotten it maybe a couple days earlier. maybe. Drew drove to the ladies house that received it and picked it up and took it to UPS himself. Thank goodness the lady called upTop about the wrong delivery!

So here's an update on the 23zero 56" Walkabout RTT I just had installed onto the Bravo rack. Found out that the way the tent has to mount and the limited number of crossbars combined with a limited number of mounting holes for the crossbars affected the position I wanted for the tent. I was looking to maximize the cargo space up top by installing the tent as far back as possible utilizing the second to last crossbar (the one just before the shark fin antenna, see above pic #15). That would allow for close to the maximum recommended overhang from last crossbar to the edge of the RTT. However, placing the tent that far back does not allow for the forward mounting points of the RTT to align with any crossbar. Due to the "scallops" along the side rails, there are no other mounting holes to move a crossbar into other locations to make this fitment work. I ended having to move the RTT forward enough to just have enough of the forward crossbar slid as far back in it's mounting position (3rd one back from front in pic #15) to mount to with little to no overhang; loosing a portion of both cargo space in the front and leaving no available crossbar in the rear to use as a viable mount with the exception of the weBoost antenna already mounted to the rear permanent support crossbar.

kailuakona04, after installing this roof rack did you experience any vibration from it? Everything was installed into the existing mounting holes the OEM rack was in and everything torqued to install instructions, but after having my bigger tires installed there is now a rattle from where the rack flexes on the passenger side back panel when I go over a bumpy surface. It literally vibrates and is hitting the sides of the roof where it hangs over a little. Going to see if I can get another washer to raise that one side a tad bit. Other than that I love mine!!

Never had an issue with the rear passenger side with noticeable vibration; only vibration noticed was up front on the two support feet. I contacted Drew and he sent me additional hardware to extend the feet in order to apply more pressure. That was 5 or 6 months ago. I'd take a good look at that rear section though because 2 weeks ago in Death Valley my Bravo rack cracked straight through the rear scene light cut out on that very same side along with a crack in the same bottom section on the driver's side. I had to do a quick zip tie fix and wrap a towel with duct tape to keep it from hitting the roof and hope it made it through a 5 hour trip back to SD with the rack loaded with my RTT, etc. I just received the new rails along with the hardware and apparently new "improved" mounting feet. Should be building the rack and hopefully installing it this weekend.

Hit Drew up, there may be an issue with that batch of rails or the mounting feet depending on which ones came with your rack. I'd also verify the tires where mounted and balanced right. That can also cause a lot of vibration to be transferred to the rack.

Hope this helps and good luck!

Follow on question. I just received my new side rails and hardware kit. Did yours have the new mid and rear feet with the UpTop sticker and a 2 bolt mount to the side rail? Also, were all your spaces the same size; about an inch? The spacers are really short compared to the spacers I just took off. I originally had different sized spacers; short in the rear and longer on the mid foot mount.

I just got my rack yesterday and all 4 feet have the sticker/same length. All the feet connect to siderails with two bolts, and the spacers are all the same length. I do have the ability to shift the feet "forward/backwards" if needed.

Going to mount the rack on Monday - ordered parts from McMasters to eliminate the aluminum barrels/have an install similar to another rack which uses no silicone. a member on T4R did it with his rack and had great success.

What other parts did you swap out? And do you have the link to both the T4R install article you mentioned and the McMasters parts? Maybe I'll switch mine out if I should have any problems in the future. Good luck with the install!

I looked at the Wescott website - I love their ladder setup! $450 is too much for my wallet but the design is killer!

I have to agree, that's a hefty price tag. Of note, the ladder steps are also made of the same slotted aluminum crossbars as most roof racks and will continuously hold water until it finally seeps out. Mix a bit or mud/dirt and maybe some salt from either roads or beach driving and eventually you're going to start having corrosion issues/flaking. Why don't these companies put weep holes at the end of their rails to drain water; they have to know most people at the very least rinse their rigs off after a trail run. I've found that when I wash the truck, I put the leveling blocks under one side to help drain the rails; seems to help and I suppose it will help drain the ladder rails as well.
